John Marushin has worked over the last thirty+ years across a diversified set of businesses from refining aluminum, discrete part manufacturers, service & logistics industries – implementing the Toyota Production System to improve business performance in productivity, safety, profitability & efficiency.
His experience from Toyota (where he was trained as an expert in “Toyota Production System” methodology through actual projects in both North America & Japan), Consulting and as a Director at Alcoa has allowed him to develop all levels of associates to become self-sufficient in implementing the Toyota production System, drive business impact and create sustained skills to build capability of other associates. His ability to influence & inspire from the front line to Executive leadership is a real advantage to engage the organization in the change cycle and capture real-time financial improvements. His ability to use a Systems approach to change (first from the customer to operations and then through supply chain) is a key advantage to link business requirements to actual operational improvements necessary to move the total enterprise forward.
As Director, Alcoa Operations Management Consulting (AOMC) for Alcoa Since 2001, John Marushin was responsible for proliferating Alcoa Business System (ABS) which is a replica of the world famous Toyota Production System for the aluminum industry. Scope of responsibility included Alcoa’s $22 Billion businesses in 360+ locations over 31 countries worldwide.
John currently leads major LCA projects for multi-billion dollar clients in Europe and North America
